We bought the Peticure Elite about 18 months ago and our Bernese Mountain Dog was fine with it and my wife loves the tool. The Problem is that all of the sudden we took it off the charger to do Panda's nails and it would not start at all! Not even a humm out of it, worked fine about two months ago and then nothing. I would think that it would last beyond the 20 or so uses ove the past 18 to 24 months for the price I paid.

It is a little bit more bulky and cumbersome than I expected. It does a good job though. The charging system is a little out dated. You are supposed to charge the battery pack for only 3 hours, and no more, and the charging base doesn't stop charging after the 3 hours. That could have been improved greatly. Modern batteries and chargers all stop charging when fully charged, there should be no exception.
It is a little tough getting the dogs nails fully groomed as well. I have to finish up with a small nail file most of the times, but this works great for getting the bulk of the nail down to a manageable size.
Overall, this unit really is just a variable speed Dremel encased in different plastics, with a guard head. It even uses the same grinding pads as a normal Dremel. But it does work.

I don't even know how to charge the dang thing! The motor is cheap and it doesn't tell you how to USE the charger! I HIGHLY recommend not getting this.

They sent me their product with a dead battery. You can't even find a replacement. so I spent 40 bucks on nothing to have to "TRY" and risk another 40 bucks to get another? Screw these guys. worst online buy of my life

After I got this in the mail, I read a review of this thing working once, and then never coming on again. Well it happened to me. It was partially charged out of the box and tried it on my Golden (who didn't mind). I put it on the charger and that was it! It never turned on again. Buy the Pedi Paws. At least that works and hasn't died.
